Residential Electrical Services We Handle

We cover the full scope of residential electrical work for St. Louis homes, from a single switch swap to a whole-home rewire on a 1920s historic property. Most residential calls fall into one of six categories. Each links to a dedicated page with the operational detail, timing, and code references for that scope. The six residential scopes we run weekly:

Not sure which page covers your project? Start with a phone call. Most residential calls get sorted in five minutes on the phone and scheduled for a free in-home estimate that same week. Call (314) 837-3308 or book online.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have a residential electrical project in mind? Call (314) 837-3308 or book online to schedule a free in-home estimate across the St. Louis metro. We’ll walk the project with you, give you a written quote with no surprises, and book the work for the next available slot.

Depends heavily on the job. A full panel/service replacement or new-construction project gets a free on-site estimate and a written quote before anything starts — that's the only work we quote in advance. Smaller jobs — outlet swaps, fixture changes, adding a circuit, anything under roughly $1,000 — don't get a quote ahead of the visit; we price those once we're on site. And if you're calling about an existing problem, that's a troubleshooting call, not an estimate — we diagnose first, then tell you what's wrong and what it costs to fix. We don't guess at a price before we've seen the job.

Same-week for most residential calls during business hours (Monday through Thursday 8AM to 4:30PM, Friday 8AM to 3:30PM). Same-day is sometimes available when we have a cancellation. For emergency residential scenarios where the power is out and the utility is fine, see our Restore Power page for what to check on your end while we schedule the visit. For after-hours commercial and industrial emergencies, we offer service contracts through our 24-Hour Emergency Services program; that program is B2B only.

Yes. Whole-home rewires are common on knob-and-tube homes in the historic neighborhoods (Central West End, Tower Grove, Soulard, Lafayette Square, Compton Heights, Old Webster Groves, historic Kirkwood, Frenchtown in St. Charles, the older parts of Florissant and Hazelwood). The scope typically includes pulling new branch circuits to current NEC requirements (GFCI in kitchens and baths, AFCI in bedrooms and living rooms), upgrading the panel to 200A, replacing the service entrance, and bonding the grounding electrode system to current code. For the panel scope, see our Panel Replacement page. For the grounding scope, see Ground Wire Installation.
