Light Fixture Installation

Who installs light fixtures in St. Louis?

Untitled design 1 5

A new light fixture changes how a room feels more than almost any other electrical install. A chandelier over a dining table, a row of pendants over a kitchen island, a vanity bar that finally throws even light on both sides of the mirror. We install light fixtures across the St. Louis metro for homeowners replacing a single piece, finishing a remodel, or installing a chandelier in a foyer they could never reach themselves.

Common fixture installs we run weekly:

Every install meets National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and one-year written labor warranty. For ENERGY STAR LED guidance, see EnergyStar.gov.

How a Kay-Bee fixture install runs from quote to lamp-on

Single-fixture installs on standard 8-foot ceilings are usually a straightforward, one-electrician job. Larger jobs, a kitchen package of recessed cans, a chandelier on a two-story foyer, a full bath vanity bar, take more work and sometimes need a second electrician for the ladder work.

Most single installs are a straightforward, one-electrician job. A kitchen package of 6 to 12 recessed cans is a bigger undertaking. A two-story foyer chandelier on a vaulted ceiling requires a second electrician on the ladder for safety.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have a fixture project? Call (314) 837-3308 or book online to request an estimate across the St. Louis metro.

Depends on the box and the weight. A standard ceiling box rated for a flush mount can hold a fixture up to about 50 lbs. A chandelier over 35 lbs (NEC 314.27) needs a fan rated brace box anchored to a joist or a metal cross-brace. We install the brace box as part of the same visit when the chandelier needs one.

Yes. If you bring the fixture, we install it. If you want a recommendation, we will source one for you. Your choice on budget and look. The install labor is the same either way.

A two-story foyer chandelier takes 2 to 3 hours and requires a second electrician on the ladder for safety. The fixture itself is the homeowner's choice (or we source one). We don't quote this over the phone — we'll give you the number once we're on site and can see the ceiling height, access, and wiring.
